I was giving some thought to self-care the other day, and I realized how popular the term has become. When I first started my graduate program, a lot of people were hearing about this for the first time. Now, I rarely have to explain what self-care is, in the general sense. However, I think some folks still struggle with REALLY understanding self-care and what it means for them. Self-care does not have to be taking a vacation or going to a spa. It can be the "little" things too (i.e. going to bed earlier because you had a bad day, or setting a boundary in a relationship). What do YOU do for self-care? Does it change depending on the season?
